Jaclyn Mixell, Intern

Covenant Theological Seminary Intern

lk

Hello! My name is Jaclyn. Thank you for taking the risk to seek counseling. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. After spending time working in a church and school setting, I am thankful to begin my work as a counselor and to see children, individuals, and families experience growth and healing. I know firsthand that it takes courage to tell your story and share with another the pain, heartbreak, grief, and more that you have experienced in life. I am committed to seeing my clients flourish by creating a warm environment of connection, support, and curiosity. It is a deep honor to be with you on this journey.

I enjoy working with children, teens, families, and individuals. I have learned that change happens through relationships and I work to collaboratively foster a trauma-informed environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Some of my areas of focus include life transitions, family relationships, and spiritual abuse along with depression, anxiety, and boundary issues. My hope is that you will feel safe and honored no matter what brought you to seek counseling.

In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends. After moving to Missouri in 2020, I have discovered that one of my favorite parts of St. Louis is the Botanical Gardens in spring.  I am under the supervision of Dondra Agovino and Lindsey Knapp.
