“Our brokenness reveals something about who we are. Our sufferings and pains are not simply bothersome interruptions of our lives; rather, they touch us in our uniqueness and our most intimate individuality” -Henri Nouwen.

Wow, every time I read this quote I am reminded to pause and canvas the landscape of my life. There is beauty and dignity; even here in the midst of thick, black shame and agonizing suffering. Neither the beauty nor dignity cancel out the shame or the suffering. Rather, I am learning that they reveal deeper truths that go beyond my scars.

Over the years, in this wounded space, I have found a most sacred intimacy. I would be honored to be invited into your wounded spaces where we can sit and witness the unveiling of suffering and the inherent dignity of who you were created to be.

I have experience sitting with anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic illness. I am comfortable exploring the inner child, gender and sexuality, and wrestling with spiritual abuse and deconstruction. I am open to all ages and walks of life.

Whether you choose to work with me or not, please know that your pain is not wasted, and there is such beauty to be revealed along your journey!
