To share your story and start a journey toward healing is profoundly brave and admirable. Being entrusted to walk alongside those who are willing to take that risk is a privilege that I don’t take lightly. I count it as a tremendous honor to be invited to sit with the clients I work with, in moments of vulnerability and hurt and in those of victory and celebration.
Both professional and personal experience inform my belief that it is in the context of relationships that we find ourselves capable of the most enduring sort of growth and transformation. My goal is to provide a safe place where each person I work with can experience being known and cared for, in order that they would be empowered to reach their goals and find real peace.
I offer counseling to couples, families, adults, and teens. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and my approach to counseling is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and rooted in family systems theory. Some areas of focus in my practice include family-of-origin trauma, spirituality, and issues related to marriage, relationships, and sexuality.
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. My husband and I are from South Florida, but we have fallen in love with St. Louis, and have joyfully traded in the beach and the boat for a 100-year-old house in University City, where we live with our daughter and our greyhound, Rocky.
